General Announcements

We are making a group booking to attend Feast of the Sword, a swash-buckling dinner theatre show presented by our friends at the Rabbittown Theatre’s New World Theatre Project in Cupids.  Not only is it reported to be fab, but it also stars several SBTS alumni.

Our plan is to go on Wednesday, July 21 for their 6pm show in Cupids – we will leave from Holy Cross Junior High School in carpools leaving at 5pm sharp.

Our special group rate cost to attend is $42 per person, payable by cash, cheque, debit or credit card on the night-of, but we need to confirm our reservation in advance.

Please let us know if Yes, I want to attend!  or Sorry, can’t make it by replying to this link at http://www.doodle.com/gnfbutqw6binx7aq no later than Monday, July 19.   (Let us know if you have dietary restrictions in the comments section of the poll.)

Here’s some further info about the show and the meal:

Feast of the Sword by Kerri MacDonald

In 1610 it was recorded that John Guy, along with a group of 39 settlers departed from Bristol, England, to make their way across the Atlantic to the New World.

Thirty days into the journey, as per a secret naval custom, three ships meet in the middle of the harsh Atlantic to engage in The Feast of the Sword.

What begins as a simple exhibition of swordplay quickly devolves into a dangerous battle for life and death.

Laden with exhilarating stage combat, The Feast of the Sword is an historical re-imagining of one man’s journey to the New World.

Menu:
Sallet: Winter Salad with Raisin & Caper Vinaigrette
Starter: Renaissance Rice Balls
Fysshe & Fowle: Chicken Plum Pie OR Cod with Carmelized Onions & Currents
with Sweet Potatoes & Dates & Rustic Bread
Dessert: Bunbury Cake with English Custard

Hope you can join us!
